WaterWise
WaterWise is an Erasmus+ KA2 project (small-scale partnerships) that connects TŠC Maribor and PTŠ Dubrovnik in developing a modular curriculum on smart irrigation systems. The goal is to promote innovative teaching, exchanges, and digital solutions, such as a system prototype, a web application, and an e-textbook. At the same time, the project addresses the priority “Common values, civic engagement, and participation” and raises awareness about sustainable water resource management.
Erasmus+ KA1
Within the Erasmus+ KA1 project, students and staff from the Technical Secondary School Centre Maribor, the Biotechnical School Maribor, the Secondary School of Wood Processing and Forestry Maribor, the Secondary School of Construction and Grammar School Maribor, and the Secondary School of Marketing and Design Maribor take part.
Mobilities are an integral part of the regular educational process, which is why the competences that students acquire abroad are officially recognised at school through the Europass tool. Participation in mobility enables students to upgrade their professional knowledge and to develop key skills such as interpersonal, intercultural and language competences, independence, entrepreneurship, problem-solving abilities and an understanding of the modern working environment. Such competences are today part of the expectations of most employers.
The aim of the project is to offer students an upgrade of their professional knowledge and the opportunity to gain new work experience in an international environment, to contribute to their independence, maturity and self-confidence, to give them insight into life and work in other EU countries, to promote awareness of diversity and encourage respect among cultures, to improve their foreign language skills and to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and good practices between schools and the world of work.
zMIGAJ!
Project zMIGAJ! is an initiative aimed at promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among students. At TŠC Maribor, we organize various sports activities, workshops, and educational events that help students develop motor skills and raise awareness of the importance of regular exercise. The program includes sports days, training programs, fitness testing, and cooperation with experts in the fields of sports and health. The goal of the project is to increase young people’s physical activity and encourage them to adopt an active lifestyle.
In the 2024/2025 school year, students participated in football, basketball, volleyball, martial arts, and fitness training, while teachers also joined the project weekly through fitness sessions and women’s self-defense training.
A special highlight of the project was the Day of Disconnection (Dan odklopa), hosted at TŠC Maribor, which brought together 1,400 students from 24 secondary schools across Slovenia. The event combined sports, socializing, and fun activities, while above all emphasizing the importance of movement and a healthy lifestyle.
